silhouette under moonbeams

majestic moon

Striding near the lagoon,
I see you grin
Your mega-watt smile
Outshines the moonbeams in a while.

I held my breath as you approach.
Is it Betelgeuse that sparkle in your eyes?
The breeze blew
The mists renew the sinew.

You came near
I wait like an eternity
You pause and ponder
You detour, you wander.

“You avoid me?”, I whisper out loud.
“How can one be a crowd?”
The moonbeams fade away
Your silhouette follows the way.
