Devoured Books

Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.”

I couldn’t agree more with Francis Bacon when he shared his perspectives through the famous essay, “Of Studies”.

But as far as reading is concerned, nothing beats the Holy Bible to make a full man, full in all aspects. Wisdom comes only from the Life’s Author, therefore His Words makes a man discreet and disciplined.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

Most treasured book of all times ^_^

“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested; that is, some books are to be read only in parts; others to be read, but not curiously; and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. Some books also may be read by deputy, and extracts made of them by others; but that would be only in the less important arguments, and the meaner sort of books, else distilled books are like common distilled waters, flashy things.” Francis Bacon

Favorite Books

I finished reading this awesome book but I crave for more! I’m rereading MYP for the third time. Every passage seems new as if I haven’t read it before. This is a must-read for every youth.^_^

The 1930 edition of Messages to the Young People (red cover) that I received from a friend when I was freshman in high school (1998).

Mini set of the CONFLICT OF THE AGES SERIES, a gift from a friend when I was in the missionary field. Super favorite: Steps to Christ, Desire of Ages and Great Controversy

A torn Emma and Becoming Jane (a prize from Metro Magazine, my sister Leah won a contest). ^_^ Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility and Mansfield Park are awesome too! It’s better reading the novels than watching the movie counterparts.
